How to Channel Michelle Obama's Style

How to Channel Michelle Obama's Style

It was quite an honor to have the Washington Post select one of my dresses from the Maria Pinto collection for their list of "Michelle Obama's Best Fashion Moments as First Lady."

There is something powerfully seductive about a dress that doesn't reveal much, but at the same time makes an impact. I like to design dresses that express style and confidence, but that are also effortless—once you have it on, you shouldn't have to think about it.

I think the Nina dress from the M2057 collection embodies this same strength and seductive quality, while being both high function but low maintenance. Little details like the dolman sleeves add a couture-like elegance without a lot of fuss. Made from our "liquid jersey" fabric, it feels silky and divine against the skin. (But, like all of the M2057 collection, it's machine washable!)

I love how this dress can go from the boardroom to cocktails, from flats to Manolos—whatever your style, you can make it your own and feel gorgeous in it.
