One of the best ways to experience any culture is through food.
When I was in London last winter, I became obsessed with Yotam Ottolenghi. His cafes and restaurants are a pure delight, as are his cookbooks (Plenty andSimple are my go-tos). When I select a recipe, it’s important to me that the end result not only tastes good but also looks beautiful; Ottolenghi excels at this.
Here are three of my very favorite Ottolenghi recipes:
- Roasted Whole Cauliflower with Green Tahini Dressing: So easy, and such a gorgeous presentation.
- Bridget Jones’ Pan-Fried Salmon with Pine Nut Salsa: First, the name of this one just cracks me up! The topping is delicious, and the whole dish makes great leftovers.
- Moroccan Carrot Salad with Orange & Pistachio: One ingredient I discovered through this recipe is orange blossom water. It adds a truly exotic flavor; add a splash to any green salad, it’s divine!
