Could you share a bit about your journey into motherhood?

After my divorce at 35, I took time to heal and reflect on what I truly wanted. I was dating, but as someone who is naturally analytical and works in finance, I found myself constantly evaluating timelines and outcomes—wondering what would happen if it took years to find the right partner, didn’t work out, and I had to start over again. I became increasingly aware that my window to have a child was narrowing.

Ultimately, I made the decision to become a mother on my own.

There were plenty of opinions about how challenging that path would be, but I also knew that many women find themselves raising children alone—not always by choice and often with far fewer resources than I had. Knowing I had a meaningful career and a strong, supportive community gave me confidence in my choice.

I had my daughter at 41, and she has been an incredible gift.

Motherhood has taught me to soften my independence, to ask for help when I need it, and to be more intentional about caring for myself while caring for her.

What industry do you work in and what is your role?

I work in the wealth management industry at Caprock, a multi-family office. In my role, I partner with entrepreneurs, families, and foundations to help build, manage, and preserve their wealth across generations.

What was your path to getting where you are today?

Early in my career, I explored different areas of finance, bouncing around a lot, which helped me understand where I found the most meaning. I realized I was most fulfilled working directly with people and building longterm relationships. I spent 13 years at Goldman Sachs in wealth management, developing deep relationships with families. Moving to Caprock, a multifamily office, has allowed me to have an even greater impact and truly serve clients in a greater capacity.

How do you create a work-life balance for yourself?

For me, work-life balance is really about checking in with myself and how I’m feeling. There are seasons when things feel less balanced, and I’ve learned to be okay with that. But when I start to feel overwhelmed or stretched too thin, that’s my signal to pause and create some space. Sometimes it’s as simple as taking a walk or carving out a few quiet hours alone. It’s about noticing when something needs to shift—and giving myself permission to act on it.

How would you describe your personal style?

I gravitate toward simplicity with a few fun, standout pieces or accessories. I tend to favor classic colors, though lately I’ve been leaning into brighter colors and bolder patterns. Maria has been instrumental in encouraging me to step outside my comfort zone and experiment more with my style—being a little more edgy.

What's important to you when it comes to buying clothing?

Quality, comfort and ease of care.

What are some of your favorite features of the Maria Pinto collection?

I love how timeless the Maria Pinto collection is—I still own pieces from some of her earliest collections and can easily mix and match them with newer ones. The effortless elegance, along with how easy everything is to pack, is a game-changer. No ironing or dry cleaning makes it especially perfect for busy professionals.

What are your favorite Maria Pinto pieces? Why?

I have the circle skirt that was in one of her very early collections. I still love to dress it up or wear it with a tank top and sneakers. It is such a fun, flowy, beautiful piece.

What are you reading right now?

Radical Acceptance by Tara Brach, PhD and All the Way to the River by Elizabeth Gilbert.

How do you take care of yourself?

I start each morning slowly. I naturally wake up early and use that quiet time to prepare for the day ahead. I’ve also lifted weights twice a week for years with a trainer, and even when I can’t fit in additional workouts, the consistency itself makes me feel grounded.

If you could live anywhere, where would you choose?

Somewhere in the mountains or rolling hills, close to the sea. I recently spent time in Spain riding in the mountains and loved that the coast was just a few hours away. I enjoy city energy, but nature is where I feel most at peace.

Best gift you've ever received?

Girlfriends who have your back. The ones you can laugh, cry, and be vulnerable around.
