Another edition of Maria Pinto’s Spotlight Series, In Her Own Words, is here. Each month, we feature the dynamic, stylish, and powerful women who inspire us daily. This month’s spotlight features – Gloria “GoGo” Morris.

What was your path to getting where you are today?
I was raised in my family’s men's clothing business in Northwest Indiana, John Cicco’s Menswear. I had no idea that I was being shaped into an entrepreneur. I have always been an early adopter of technology and this is why I love my job at Google as I am on the cutting edge of this AI journey we find ourselves in now. Every day I am a student!
How do you create a work-life balance for yourself?
I love to travel and have been very intentional about planning trips I can look forward to so I can properly reset and recharge. I am heading to Austin this week to visit my 27 year old daughter for some much-needed R&R!
What do you love and appreciate about being a woman?
I absolutely love the complexity that comes with being a woman as I feel we are the most interesting and resilient species!
How would you describe your personal style?
I strive to feel “put together” with a modern/minimalist type of feel. I am known for throwing in a little fun too. One example was supporting my client Kraft Heinz by wearing an Andy Warhol inspired ketchup t-shirt paired with my favorite Stanwyk pants in the Crane color.

Gloria is wearing the Tyler 2 Jacket in Rocca and the Ismania 2 Skirt in Rocca.
What is important to you when it comes to buying clothing?
I love when you can pair different pieces together in many ways as it makes it easy for me with little decision fatigue! I love my wardrobe from MP because it works for everything!
How are you dressing right now?
It’s HOT! I am a super fan of the Adele top for the “Sand” fabric. I have a bunch of colors and also love the Gifu pattern in the same fabric!
What wisdom would you tell your younger self?
I’m not sure where I adopted my “joie de vivre” but I truly have great enthusiasm and intention for all things life and focus on the positive as much as I possibly can.
What are you watching, reading, and/or listening to right now?
Reading Outlive by Peter Attia M.D. and listening to the AI-Driven Leader by Geoff Woods.

Gloria is wearing the Mirabella Top in Nemi, the Zadie Pant in Nemi, and the Erika Belt.
How do you take care of yourself?
Ever since my mom was diagnosed with cancer I committed to knowing every detail about my health and use the app, Function to monitor several biomarkers. I have been much more disciplined – scared straight if you will.
If you could live anywhere (and money is no object), where would you choose?
I would like to have a condo/apartment in a few cities that I love including NYC and Chicago. I have a suburban home and miss the electricity of being in the city.
Best gift you ever received?
My family is my greatest gift.
What are some of your favorite features about the Maria Pinto collections?
I have so many. I don’t even know where to start. I think I have an emotional connection to anything inspired by the Tokyo line. I studied in Tokyo last winter and wore Maria Pinto head to toe every single day. One other crazy coincidence: I call 2025 my TEN year pivot because it’s my ten year anniversary since starting Float Sixty and I am currently transitioning the business. I purchased Maria’s “Ginkgo” t-shirt coincidentally and then connected that it says TEN in TEN different languages! Very meaningful and special.

Gloria is wearing the Virna Cape in Tria, the Ten T-Shirt, and the Cosima Jogger in Tria.
