Natural City

Natural City

I’m lucky enough to live in a place that’s constantly challenging me as a designer to find beauty in unexpected places. I love unique juxtapositions of color, patterns, materials, textures, and environments, and Chicago never stops surprising me with its glimpses of hard and soft, light and dark, natural and constructed.

Like glistening steel columns rising out of lush, heathery fields at Lurie Gardens, or Jun Kaneko’s playful patterns painted across ceramic surfaces at Boeing Galleries, there’s always something to reflect upon and consider consciously or subconsciously.
