I recently had my first solo show at Mars Gallery in Chicago, featuring an abstract painting series called “Root Vertebra."
For over 20 years, I have dedicated my creative talent to the business of women’s fashion. Art greatly influenced my creative energies, where I found inspiration in artists such as Richard Serra, Jaume Plensa, Antoni Tapies, and Robert Latham.
My most recent works have revolved around the study of roots. Not only as to the form of the roots, but also in the promulgation of the idea as roots providing a roadmap to our physical, emotional, and spiritual connection to the world around us. The root series evolved into a curiosity of vertebra and bones, these representing a key connection or structure to man’s living body.
If you like this series, head over to my M2057 Kickstarter page for the chance to get a signed print of my painting, "Root Love."
